The short version
- Ludra returns on November 4, 2026, after maintenance, with normal and hard mode open at the same time. Nothing is gated behind a clear.
- Normal mode wants item level 2,800 and hard mode 3,000. Level 45 is the floor either way, and the gate is checked per player rather than per group.
- The raid is ten players, opened from the main menu Sanctuary tab, and tracked by two weekly counters: four attempts and one final boss kill per character.
- The final boss is Eternal Ludra at level 75 with a ten minute enrage. Isolation Specialist Rahu and Abyssal Wings Ketu sit in front of it.
- The clear pays an Odyle Energy Cube for 40 energy, and every cube carries 1,000,000 Kina, Unique Amplify Stone Fragments, Soul Codex and Silentium on top of the gear rolls.
Not open right now: the November 4 return
Ludra ran during the early access window from September 30 to October 4 and was removed when the global launch went live on October 5. NC's October 23 announcement puts it back on November 4, and describes it as the first major challenge the global audience will face rather than as a new raid.
| Mode | Item level | Status on November 4 |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | 2,800 | Open from the moment the server returns |
| Hard | 3,000 | Open at the same time, no clear required first |
The announcement also says the global build gets reworked mechanics and attack patterns rather than a straight re-run, and that the Hall of Fame resets with a new first-clear race. That combination is why every Ludra rotation guide published before November 4 should be read as background: the numbers below come from the Korean build and from the early access run, and the global tuning is not published yet.
Early access gear: what NC is doing with it
Anyone who cleared Ludra during the early access week had the drop pulled from the account at launch. The October 5 notice spells out the compensation, and it is the part most players missed.
| Early access activity | What happens to it |
|---|---|
| Got Ludra specific gear | Held back and returned when Ludra comes back |
| Spent materials upgrading that gear | Refunded in full |
| Cleared Ludra on a Europe server | A unique title |
| Cleared Ludra on another region | Not mentioned in the notice |

Where Ludra sits in the gear ladder
Sanctuary holds three raids on the global client and they are ordered by item level rather than by character level. Abyssal Forge is the entry raid, so it is the step that turns a level 50 character in quest gear into someone who can enter the middle Abyss layer and the harder Expeditions.
| Raid | Item level | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Abyssal Forge: Ludra | 2,800 normal / 3,000 hard | Entry raid, drops the Ludra weapon line |
| Corroded Decontamination Facility | 3,500 | Second raid in the ladder |
| Chalice of Muspel | 4,300 normal / 4,500 advanced | Top raid, the only one with two tiers before Ludra added hard mode |
For reference, the mid-tier gates a Ludra raider is likely to meet next are 2,600 for Conquest difficulty Expeditions such as Krao Cave and Draupnir, 3,000 for the middle Abyss layer, and 3,500 for the second raid. A normal clear at 2,800 is therefore one tier of headroom, not a shortcut.
Bridging to 3,000 before November 4
Hard mode opens on the same day as normal, which turns a gear question into a deadline. The realistic read from the community is that 2,800 by November 4 is achievable and 3,000 is not, so treat hard mode as a late November goal rather than a launch night plan.
- Divine Crystals are the cheapest item level in the game at one level each, and roughly 30 of them are purchasable off the Shugo board for 30 item levels.
- Enhancement carries the rest: unique stones bumped with empowered stones, and empowered stones come from the essential morph fed by enhancement stones and dungeon fragments.
- Abyss farming funds the crystals, with one to one and a half million Kina a week as the working target.
- Rough math on the current economy puts a prepared character near 2,900, which is why the hard mode race is expected to be decided by the groups that started the crystal buys early.

AION 2: How to Reach 3,000 Item Level Before LUDRA!
Spid · uploaded 2026-10-25 · 9:08
- Item level, not damage, is the bottleneck: the creator rebuilds his whole plan around the 3,000 gate after the announcement.
- Divine Crystals are the cheapest item level in the game at one level each, with roughly 30 of them purchasable for 30 item levels.
- Enhancement carries the rest: unique stones bumped with empowered stones, and empowered stones come from the essential morph using enhancement stones and fragments out of dungeons.
- Abyss farming funds it, with a target of one to one and a half million Kina a week to buy crystals instead of farming them.
- His own estimate lands near 2,900, which matches the community reading that hard mode is a next month goal rather than a launch week one.
Spid · English captionsThe two counters, and why the first one hurts
Sanctuary tracks attempts and final boss kills separately, per character, and both reset on Wednesday. The attempt counter is the one to watch: it is spent the moment the instance starts, so a group that disbands after two wipes on the mini bosses has paid a quarter of its week for nothing.
| Counter | Per week | Reset | Spent when |
|---|---|---|---|
| [Sanctuary] Abyssal Forge attempts | 4 | Wednesday | You enter the instance |
| [Sanctuary] Abyssal Forge final boss kills | 1 | Wednesday | Eternal Ludra dies |
Both counters were topped up with a cash item in the early access build, up to ten extra each. If that carries over, it is the only way past the weekly limit and it is worth knowing before a group decides to keep pulling on the last night of the reset.
Three bosses and a ten minute clock
The raid is three rooms of escalating pressure rather than a single door boss. Two named mini bosses gate the final room and each has its own reward pool, so a group that cannot reach Ludra still leaves with something for the cube.
| Boss | Level | Room |
|---|---|---|
| Isolation Specialist Rahu | 75 | First mini boss |
| Abyssal Wings Ketu | 75 | Second mini boss |
| Eternal Ludra | 75 | Final boss, ten minute enrage |
The final boss enrages 600 seconds into the fight and warns 60 seconds before that. Each player carries two revives, and the counter only ticks inside the mini boss and final boss rooms, so trash deaths are free while a wipe on trash cannot be rescued by burning a revive.
Mechanics that break first-time groups
Neither mini boss is a damage check until the last phase. What ends a run is a raid that does not split roles, and both fights punish a group that stays stacked on the boss for the whole pull.
- Split the raid in two: one group holds the boss while the other clears three platforms, killing two waves each and then using a crystal to hand the raid its buffs. After Rahu the groups swap sides and repeat.
- Rahu passes a purple circle between players. Passing it away from the group is the whole mechanic, and it is the first thing a new group fails.
- At 75 percent Rahu moves to the centre and separates the room, then stacks cones and donuts on whoever holds the marker. Everyone has to come back and stack for it.
- At 50 percent the arena splits into four sections. At 25 percent four circles of adds spawn and have to be cleared with a line attack aimed through the pack rather than stacked on top of it.
- Ketu is the harder of the two. A cleric for resurrection and a ranger for the spirit phase are the two slots experienced groups refuse to skip.
- Reactors appear on the left, right or centre and shield the boss while they are alive, which is why the room gets cleared instead of tunnelled.

FRESHY · uploaded 2026-09-14 · 10:27
- Splits the raid in two: one group holds the boss while the other clears three platforms, killing two waves per platform and then using a crystal to hand the group its buffs.
- Rahu passes a purple circle between players, and at 75 percent it moves to the centre and separates the room before stacking cones and donuts.
- At 50 percent Rahu splits the arena into four sections, at 25 percent it spawns four circles of adds, and leftover puddles decide whether the last phase is survivable.
- Ketu is the harder fight: bring a cleric for resurrection and a ranger for the spirit phase, and jump the white circle where the weapon lands after the dash.
- Occasional reactors on the left, right or centre shield the boss, which is why the group clears the room instead of tunnelling damage.
FRESHY · English captionsWhat a clear pays
Defeating Eternal Ludra spawns an Odyle Energy Cube. Opening it costs 40 Odyle Energy out of the same pool the Expedition dungeons use, which is the real cost of the raid: forty energy is roughly two Expedition opens you are choosing not to run.
| Reward | Amount | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Kina | 1,000,000 | Every cube |
| Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique) | 4 to 9 | Every cube |
| Soul Codex | 10 | Every cube |
| Silentium | 20 | Every cube |
| Lesser Manastone and Lesser Soulstone | 1 each | Every cube |
| Balaur Essence and refining materials | varies | Every cube |
| Philosopher Stone: Revelation | 1 | About 30 percent |
| Ludra weapon | 1 of 9 | About 5 percent pool |
The million Kina per clear is the part that surprises launch groups. It covers the repair and consumable bill of a progression night on its own, which is why a group that cannot yet kill Ludra still gets value from the two mini bosses.
The pity counter: two databases disagree
There is a guaranteed payout on top of the random cube, and this is where the published sources stop agreeing. One database counts the guarantee at four cubes and offers a choice, the other counts a ceiling at eight clears and lists everything as the ceiling reward.
| Source | Threshold | What it pays |
|---|---|---|
| Community wiki, October 9 | 4 cubes | Pick one: Ludra Gear Voucher, Philosopher Stone: Revelation, or one Abyssal gear piece |
| Item database, client v110 | 8 clears | Ludra Gear Voucher plus Philosopher Stone: Revelation plus the 20 piece Abyssal set |
The nine Ludra weapons
The headline drop is a class weapon, one per weapon type plus a shield, all at item level 102. They come either from the cube roll at roughly 0.56 percent each or from the voucher, which is what makes the pity counter worth tracking.
| Weapon | Type | Class |
|---|---|---|
| Ludra Blade of Extinction | Greatsword | Gladiator |
| Ludra Scale Sword | Longsword | Templar |
| Ludra Claw | Dagger | Assassin |
| Ludra Fatal Bow | Bow | Ranger |
| Ludra Grimoire | Spellbook | Sorcerer |
| Ludra Abyssal Jade | Orb | Spiritmaster |
| Ludra Fatal Mace | Mace | Cleric |
| Ludra Heavenbound Staff | Staff | Chanter |
| Ludra Heart | Shield | Any class that can hold it |
Enhancement is where these stop being cheap. Community client data puts the plus 11 to plus 15 steps at 65, 50, 35, 25 and 20 percent, with each failure adding five percentage points of pity while never destroying or downgrading the item. That curve is why a raid weapon is a commitment rather than a trophy.
The rest of the cube: three gear pools
The Ludra drops are split across three overlapping pools beyond the class weapons, and knowing which one you are chasing is what separates a useful clear from a full bag.
- Abyssal set, Unique grade, in three slot groups: nine weapons including a shield, seven armour pieces and four accessories.
- Unique Conquest sets from the Expedition ladder, which is how a raider fills the slots the Abyssal set does not cover: Enraged Kromede, Nuakum, Aulamus, Vakron, Rupture, Bakarma and Berk.
- Legend sets, the long tail of the table: Lunatic, Corrupted Judicator, Black Claw, Divine Canyon, Unyielding, Division and Anguish.
Drop table size gets quoted three different ways depending on who is counting. An earlier count on this site used 256 items, the item database lists 471 for the instance with 210 of those in the global client, and a second page of the same database quotes 521 for the wider instance. The numbers are counting different things: everything that can appear in the reward pool, only what the global client ships, and only what a single character can roll.
What the November 4 launch adds
The raid is the centrepiece but it arrives with four side events, and two of them pay materials a raider actually needs. All windows below are the ones in NC's announcement, converted from Pacific time.
| Event | Window | What it pays |
|---|---|---|
| Ludra Conquest check-in | Nov 4 to Nov 17 | Seven tiers across a 14 day window: 1.5 million bound Kina, 30,000 Abyss Points, Soul Crystals, a helmet |
| Twitch Drops | Nov 4 to Nov 17 | 14 hour track: resurrection stones at hour 1, three appearance change vouchers worth 600 Kina at hour 5, Odyle Energy at hour 9, cosmetics at 12 and 14 |
| Odyle Energy mail | Oct 28 to Nov 10 | Two energy items per character per day on login, 80 in total before the patch, mail expires after seven days |
| Daeva Bootcamp | Nov 4 onward | Server-wide clear milestones on Conquest and Transcendence dungeons, paid by mail |
| Ludra Hunt titles | Nov 4 to Nov 24 | Region first-clear race, mailed by December 2 at the latest |
The check-in is the one to plan around: 14 days for seven rewards means seven missed days are survivable, but the 1.5 million bound Kina and the 30,000 Abyss Points are worth more than a week of ordinary play for a fresh 50. The Odyle mail matters for the raid itself, because 40 energy per cube is the real entry cost and two free items a day covers a clear every few days.

AION 2 New Patch! HUGE LUDRA Raid Changes, Hard Modes, New Drops & NEW Skins!
Soulgrot · uploaded 2026-10-24 · 8:25
- Ludra returns on November 4 with reworked mechanics, and the creator expects 2,800 to be reachable by then while 3,000 without spending or playing all day is not.
- The Odyle mail event runs October 28 to November 10 and pays two energy items a day on login, 80 in total before the patch.
- Twitch Drops run November 4 at 06:00 Pacific through November 17, and the five hour mark pays three appearance change vouchers worth 600 Kina each plus Odyle Energy.
- The title race closes November 24 rather than with the raid: the top three tiers all require a hard mode clear, and everything is mailed by December 2.
- Also flags free skins and cosmetics in the same patch, which is the part raid guides skip.
Soulgrot · English captionsThe title race is regional, not global
Ludra Hunt ranks clears inside five regions separately: Europe, North America East, North America West, South America and Asia. The first hard-mode clear in each region takes Conqueror of Ludra for ten players, teams two through five take Champion of Ludra for forty, and teams six through twenty take Challenger of Ludra for a hundred and fifty. Everyone else who clears either mode inside the window gets Ludra Hunter. The top three titles carry a purple effect.
Two details decide whether the race is worth entering. Clearing outside the window does not count at all, and the titles are mailed later rather than granted on the kill, with a deadline of December 2. A group that clears normal on November 20 still earns Ludra Hunter; a group that clears hard on November 25 earns nothing. One more condition is easy to miss: the three tiered titles are hard mode only, so a normal-mode clear earns Ludra Hunter for everyone in the raid and nothing above it.
Before you spend the first attempt
- 1Read the Sanctuary window on the nightThe global build changes mechanics and attack patterns, and it does not publish the weekly caps. The entry window is the only source that reflects what your client will actually enforce.
- 2Check item level per playerThe gate is per player, not per group. A single member under 2,800 blocks a normal run, and one under 3,000 blocks hard.
- 3Bank 40 Odyle EnergyA clear without energy leaves the cube unopened. Energy is shared with Expeditions, so do not spend it the same morning.
- 4Bring the raid preset, not the dungeon buildTen players with two revives each punish glass builds, and anything that needs a long standing cast is a liability in the final room.
- 5Plan nine minutes of damage, one of burnThe enrage is 600 seconds with a warning at 540. Groups that plan to out-heal it do not clear it.
- 6Bank cubes across weeksOpen them in one session so the pity counter is easy to read and the voucher decision is made once rather than four times.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
When does the Ludra raid come back in AION 2?
November 4, 2026, after maintenance, with normal and hard mode open at the same time. NC has not published an end date, and the announcement warns that community events can be rescheduled or cancelled.
What item level do you need for Ludra?
2,800 for normal and 3,000 for hard, with level 45 as the floor. The requirement is checked per player, so a group cannot carry a member who is under the gate.
How many times can you run Abyssal Forge per week?
The early access build allowed four attempts and one final boss kill per character, reset on Wednesday, with attempts spent on entry. NC has not published the global limits for the November 4 version, so confirm in the Sanctuary window before committing a group.
What does the Ludra raid drop?
Every cube pays 1,000,000 Kina, four to nine Unique Amplify Stone Fragments, ten Soul Codex and twenty Silentium. On top of that it rolls the Abyssal set, Unique Conquest sets, Legend sets and the nine Ludra class weapons at roughly 0.56 percent each.
Do I lose the Ludra gear I earned in early access?
No. NC held the gear back at the October 5 launch and returns it when the raid comes back, and enhancement materials spent on it are refunded in full. Players who cleared on a Europe server also received a unique title.
Is there a guaranteed Ludra weapon?
Not from a single clear. The guarantee is the pity counter behind the Ludra Gear Voucher, and the published sources disagree on whether that lands at four cubes or eight. Assume four and treat anything earlier as a bonus.
Is Ludra a boss or a server?
Both names exist. Ludra is the raid boss behind Abyssal Forge, and Ludra is also the name of a European Asmodian server paired with Tahavatha. Search results mix the two, which is why server lists and raid guides keep surfacing for the same query.
Does opening the Ludra cube cost anything?
Forty Odyle Energy, taken from the same pool the Expedition dungeons use. Two energy items arrive by mail each day during the October 28 to November 10 event, which covers a cube every few days if you log in daily.
