AION 2 Halloween: Trick or Treat Event Guide

Event dates and how long it runs

The AION 2 Halloween event, officially the Trick or Treat event, starts after the October 14, 2026 maintenance and ends before the November 4, 2026 maintenance. That is roughly three weeks, so treat the currencies as time-limited and spend the ones that expire.

Two currencies: Pumpkin Coins and Candy Keys

The AION 2 Halloween event uses two currencies that do different jobs. Pumpkin Coins come from the attendance track and weekly missions and buy from the event shop. Candy Keys are crafted from dungeon fragments and unlock themed reward bundles.

Pumpkin Coins: attendance and weekly missions

Pumpkin Coins come from a 14-day attendance track plus the weekly Halloween missions. There are ten weekly quests in the event, so a player who logs in across the window banks far more coins than one who logs in once. The coins are the currency that buys the Special Halloween Chest.

Candy Keys and the themed reward bundles

Candy Keys are crafted from colored candy keys dropped in Expedition and Transcendence dungeons. Spending a Candy Key opens a themed loot bundle: the bundles pay out Abyss Points, Odenergy and Odyle Energy, and Resurrection Stones. Candy Keys are the material path, Pumpkin Coins are the shop path.

Special Halloween Chest and the skeleton skin

The headline AION 2 Halloween skins reward is the Spooky Scary Skeleton skin. The Special Halloween Chest costs 250 Pumpkin Coins and returns the skeleton breastplate skin plus 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals. If the skeleton skin is your goal, the 14-day attendance track plus weekly missions is the fastest way to reach 250 coins.

Cap raises and the server-transfer window

The same patch that launched the AION 2 Halloween event temporarily raised the Odyle and Abyss caps during the server-transfer period, so this is a good window to push those resources. The cap raise is tied to the transfer window, not to the event itself.

Class fixes in the same patch

Alongside the AION 2 Halloween content, the patch shipped class fixes for Sorcerer and Spiritmaster. If those are your classes, read the patch notes for the exact numbers before you plan a build around them.

Paid Halloween cosmetics

Beyond the free track, the patch added new paid Halloween cosmetics to the shop. Those are optional purchases and are not required for any event achievement or the skeleton skin.

Candy Key reward pools

Each colored Candy Key opens a fixed themed bundle in the event town. Per GamerBlurb and The Click, the pools are: Red - 20 pet growth boxes, 10 combat scrolls, 5 Halloween Candy, 5 Halloween Cookies; Yellow - 10,000 Abyss Points, 10 Life Crystals, 5 Halloween Candy, 5 Halloween Cookies; Blue - 4 Odyle Energy, 10 Resurrection Stones, 5 Halloween Candy, 5 Halloween Cookies. Craft each key from 60 Candy Key Fragments via Substance Morph (100 percent success, one craft per color per server per week).

A second event runs alongside: Conquerors of the Abyss

The Trick or Treat event is not the only thing live. Conquerors of the Abyss runs in parallel and ends before the October 28, 2026 maintenance, one week before Halloween closes. It uses a different currency (Abyss Rift Stone plus Kina, not Pumpkin Coins), so do not confuse its rewards with the event shop. Plan the Abyss grind before October 28.
