How this tier list is built
- We collect the published class recommendations from independent outlets and community class overviews rather than inventing a ranking.
- We split the ranking by activity, because a class that is excellent solo is not the class a raid wants, and collapsing those into one list is how tier lists become useless.
- We mark roles that are structurally in demand, such as tank and healer, separately from raw damage, because demand and damage are different kinds of value.
- We refuse to rank a class we have no source for. Brawler is excluded from the ranking for exactly this reason.
Solo and leveling tiers

Ranger follows closely because kiting lets it choose the terms of a fight, and Templar is the class that wins by not dying in objective play. Treat PvP rankings as the softest of the three lists, because PvP outcomes in an open-world game depend heavily on whether the fight is arranged or a gank.
